In Hot Time is the convergence of black diasporic traditions, ritual, pasts, and reimaginings utilizing the symbolic space of the whirlwind. An audio-visual coupling of electronic, industrial, and atmospheric sounds from across the diaspora, fusing elements of, dance, performance, text, and archival footage

A multi-channel mediation on the complexities of visibility surrounding the Eritrean refugee crisis & the poetic hauntings of the ongoing mass exodus and it's effect across the country. Inspired by Aracelis Girmay's The Black Maria,

memory becomes bound to the seas, a vital examination that obscures both time and space, by conflating generational narratives, and offering a "landing" of which to only begin to unpack.
